    Well not really, because Kenny's still the guild leader, but I'm the de facto leader now since he's taking a break for a little while. So I figured I might as well put something in writing down here.

    Now, I've not really posted here before at all because I found the guild in the game and, well, pretty much have no idea what this web site is or what it's about. And to be honest no one from the guild really uses this forum, so I'm going to be making some kind of guild web site for updates on raids and events. I'll post the link here when I've got it all ready for you.

    So yeah, see y'all in game!

    Well it's simply a message board for talk about video games, general media and stuff like that. All of the original people who founded Emergency came from here and spitballed the idea to start the guild from posting on this forum - granted that's a while ago now and I don't think many of the original crew are actively in the guild besides myself, Kenny and Master Thief (and one of Hendrix's aliases?).

    It'd be nice if this general site/server could be used as a resource somehow though, since that'd keep the tie between the site and Shinra's "official" guild strong, so if you want a free and dedicated place to host updates or news, just shoot a message and we can give you what you need. If not I guess we could always hotlink to whatever you set up.

    Yeah, originally the guild was only made up of members from this site. Sketch there was the original GM, I believe.

    Eventually I took it over to make something more out of it, but this is where it all began, so for a guild forum there was really nowhere else but here to do it. Plus it's free.

    That would be pretty awesome. I'd love to make something here.

    Steve and I were looking at all the free guild site making services and they were all pretty much terrible, including the one I went with, Guildportal. I did some design stuff to it, but it still looks terrible, and Steve started to put some stuff up there, but I don't think either of us are particularly happy with it.

    Pretty much all I was thinking of was a blog and a calendar for the raids or other guild events. Just somewhere for people to check and get in contact that isn't in the game.

    If you shoot over some examples of some places using a set-up/look you think would work well, we could use that as a jumping point and move from there.

    I'll have a look at Guildportal just to see what not to be as sucky as :p

    This is what we set up last night:

    The bad stuff you can find mostly in Guildportal's themes, which all have pretty hideous looking banners and color schemes. I had to remove the backgrounds to pretty much everything. They also had some weird settings that didnt allow me to change some of the design, which was annoying.

    Most of the features we like are on that page, though, just not as streamlined and awesome looking as we might like :)
