I went to a Korean restaurant tonight for a friends birthday, and it was fucking DELICIOUS. I was originally going to get some BBQ pork or something but I think you can get that from any asian restaurant ever so I was going to go for the squid/octopus, but for like $10-15 more than your average main you could do an all-you-can-eat, where they put this cooker on your table and you can fry the shit yourself. So they brought out these plates with slabs or raw ribs, chicken, calamari, mushrooms... just a great dinner. Then went out drinking at this outdoor alleyway bar place which I thought had closed down years ago and ran into a friend from University. Thursday night I went to a theatre company production of The Breakfast Club which a friend of mine was acting in. They played the Simple Minds song at the end, which is all that matters. Tomorrow is another birthday but a formal dinner kind of thing and I'm pretty over it. Plus it's going to be full of stupid people so I'll need to think of ways to entertain/excuse myself.
sounds delicious! Korean food is ace. yesterday I went with friends to see Tim Hecker, Canadian electronic noise (amazing gig, so loud), got super drunk and high, went barhopping and ended up at an after party with terribly weird art people and vodka. This one guy was on mdma and he just sat in the living room completely naked, waiting for other people to join in. I casually buttoned down my shirt and opened my belt, you know, just in case it was going to turn into that kind of party. It didn't though but we did get silly wrecked and play pictionary. a girl with grandma clothes won, art people are awfully odd and their eccentricity doesn't even result in orgies tonight me and my friend are DJing, looking forward to it (tax free cash money, free beer and the best burgers in Oslo!) We're hoping a lot of people show up, I'm torn between my africa shirt and my favorite hawaiian shirt
