Anyone planning to get one? Got mine today my internets been playing up but now I finally have managed to connect to the playstation store and finish setting it up I can test out some games! Got Uncharted, Marvel Vs Capcom 3, and Fifa Soccer
Maybe. It's fully backwards compatible with the PSP and there's a few things on that I'd have loved to play, but as I never got a PSP, whelp... It actually feels like the PSP didn't come out that long ago at all, so I was surprised to be reminded that it came out in 2005 (!). So I guess the PSP didn't have a bad run at all.
I thought about it, but I can't be bothered. I got the PSP at launch and after the initial novelty wears off, you kind of just chuck it somewhere and forget about it. Playing PS3 games remotely sounds cool, but my 2nd gen PS3 can barely grab a wireless signal 3 inches from my modem, let alone down the street. I'd be suspicions of that claim (Not to mention $50 additional initial cost + a monthly data plan charge in order to do this). $25-$100 for memory cards (as far as I know, you can't just go buy a cheap MicroSD card, you have to buy a specific Sony Memory stick). 3.5 hour battery life plus the battery's sealed in so you can't purchase/carry charged spares. Basically just gonna stick with my iPhone until Nintendo or Sony do something worth getting.
yeah I have prob used it nearly as much as my psp already bit annoyed fifa is fucked up on it though its not fif 11 and its not fifa 12 its some strange fifa 11.5 with bits from both very hard to play that then go on fifa 12 for xbox
Lol. That's the thing about hand held platforms - if you have a choice between playing a game on a handheld or on a console, you'll go the console every time. Handhelds need to focus more on original games rather than conversions. The PSP had a few up its sleeve but hopefully the Vita will take it a bit further.
