New list of bugs and stuff [xenforo edition] - note on Firefox 9 related board bug

This is a list of issues we are working on due to the migration to xenforo.

• Some Posts are appearing in the moderation queue. This is quite by accident i assure you. I double checked the permissions and things look okay but as we see posts pop up for moderation/approval, we will look at those users specifically to see if anything else needs to be tweaked.
• Add "new posts" and "subscribed" links back to the top navbar. This wasn't default in vb4 or xenforo - I just need to add it back in.

Firefox bug clash with forums:

We've had a few members who have had some forum glitches due to this, so I thought I'd put up a thread just in case.

If you're using an older version of Firefox 9, you may sometimes, after prompting to create a new thread, reply or even a private message, be left without a subject box to enter message content into.

This IS a problem with Firefox itself and not with the XenForo board software, and this can be fixed as easily as updating your browser. For more information, check out this thread:

Sometimes when I got to the forum index it gives me an error.

I'll clear cookies and see if that does anything.

Correct that, anytime I try and look at the index while logged in, I get an error.

edit: deleted cookies, same prob. I'm only in here by checking recent activity, can't browse index logged in.

No prob browsing not logged in though, weird.

The data from the blogs is saved but not imported yet into the new blog tool. The new blogs are sweet.

Uhh, what "impression" are you talking about?
In any case, obviously we do not have a multitude of staff running around. Realise on top of that there isn't many in the administration that does back end work so we do what we can when we can with what resources we have available. This new board is a solution to many problems which was plaguing the old board because it just wasn't supported, and I know you had some issues with some of the functions of that one, which just couldn't be fixed.
We still have our sights very firmly set on plans we've set out, but since we're a small group we've got to take it bit by bit. Patience is a virtue.

It's a timed edit and just like here lots of boards have it as an anti-spam measure - at the moment if you want to update something, just add a post on the end. I hardly see this as anything world breaking but if you wish to appeal it, at least address why.

Also I have no idea what you're going on about with SRK (which I've never gone to ever) or whatever the hell 8WayRun is, but the board is XenForo forum software which anybody can licence for a fee, and was the standout alternative against the ailing Vb we had, end of story. The change only just happened, so cut us a break while we sort all the kinks out.
