Personally i think if you put ketchup on a steak then you have the palate of a dumb child and you should probably just stick to eating baby compote. I recently saw a person put a third of a bottle of heinz on a t-bone steak and I wanted to tell him to just go eat a hamburger or better yet order some chicken fingers from the kiddy menu.
What sauces do you recommend for steaks? Personally I think the only meat that should have sauce on it is bbq meat. Steaks should be enjoyed for what they are. Eating a steak with sauce is like posting in a forum and not following the rules. It's really bad and somebody should take away your steak for doing so. If you say A1 sauce or Worcestershire sauce then you should probably just stick to eating low quality meats and slopping them with sauce to cover up the poor quality. Anybody who puts sauce on a high quality filet mignon should be anally violated with said bottle of sauce until the bottle explodes and the offenders asshole is excreting a combination of steak sauce blood and fecal matter. Then they should eat it. also what the fuck who is this fucking gaylord suggesting I eat steak with "raspberry vinagrette"? Are you fucking shitting me? It's a steak not a fucking cobb salad you fruitcup.
Worcestershire is all you'll ever need, if you need to use a sauce. I had fond memories of HP sauce but I tried it again recently and wondered why I ever thought it was good. I generally prefer mushroom sauces (no homo) or garnishing to ketchup.
good steak should be eaten alone. like, by itself, no sauces, no side dish. just the steak and its juices. fuck you if you dont agree.
Béarnaise, pepper sauce, mushroom, caramelized onions, herbs and butter. There are a couple of ways you can go with sauces. A filet mignon topped with a crusted blue cheese sauce works tremendously well.
I only have ketchup with fries. I say fries because if I said chips most of you would assume I was talking about what we call crisps here. Steak is my all time favourite food. I would not desecrate it with sauce.
The only liquid that should go on a steak is in the pre-cook marinated stage. After the piece of meat gets off the grill no liquid should come into contact with it, unless you take a gulp of beer to wash it down.
