I think everyone here has had some type of instant noodles/ramen/cup-o-soup thing. What kind do you like? Do you add things to it to make it a little different? Since I'm a vegetarian I can really only eat Top Ramen Oriental flavor. But now I found out that there's lots of MSG in the sauce mix..... But I like to use the noodles. I just cook the noodles and drain the water and add some butter and cheese and garlic, salt and pepper and jalapenos. Quick and yummy. Or If I have a broth in the freezer I'll make my own ramen broth. Also, my work has a nice selection of Asian foods. So I can try some of the instant noodles they have. But alas, a lot of them have fish/bonito or something like that in them so I don't eat those either. There's only two that I've found that I actually like. And there's a new kind that's out but I haven't tried it yet. It kind of makes me sad though that I am limited to my instant noodle selection. But that's okay since they aren't very healthy anyways.......
Instant noodles are healthy? EsKo, ruin-er of lives. C: That said, when I want an easy 400 calories and a heart attack, I do enjoy a Mr. Noodles. Any flavor is pretty delicious and they cost a dollar for 4 packs.
havent eaten instant noodles in years, about 4 years ago I started getting allergic reactions to anything that would change my body temperature drastically (for food, spicy stuff does the trick) so I avoid anything that might have spices hidden. I used to eat beef noodles with a shitload of extra spices thrown in. the saltier the better
What kind of allergic reaction? About a year ago I starting finding that anything that raised my body temp at all made me incredibly itchy all over the place and it was highly annoying. I found out it was a reaction to some stupid dryer sheets I'd started using. Quit using them and gave my clothes a few good washings to get any remnants of it out and that problem went away entirely.
Yeah I get the same reaction, it starts with my head getting super itchy, then my face, my arms, and finally my hands. It's worse when I go from freezing cold to warm (like if it's winter, if I'm outside and I quickly move inside where it's warm). The reaction is super sudden and I'm itchy for about 5 solid minutes. I have no idea why it happens, or why it started 4 years ago.
Well, they may not be healthy but then what is. Just plain old egg noodles with a little butter does it for me, cheese is a bonus.
Oriental flavor ramen, about a half a cup less water than called for, whisk in 2 eggs with a fork right after you turn the heat off. Salt, eggs, noodles, food in my face in five minutes these are all things I have an appreciation for.
