Pretty well. I only got it so I didnt have to open a tab for everyone. Like for instance Totalbiscuit streams on twitch.tv but you wouldn't know when unless you follow his twitter. So I got twitter. And there is other people I follow like day9, huskystarcraft, etc
You know I couldn't tell you why I use Twitter. We'll see once the novelty of breaking 100 followers wears off.
I want a twitter account for my spontaneous whims of gangstalicious smokin killa purple haze ridin like I furnished it mic still permanent smokin killa kush yeah I'm feelin good slinging with a nosebleed silka swag purple drink
I think the goal for Google+, and what every user should aspire to, is that it has more or less the same network size as Facebook, even if it has considerably less activity. As long as Facebook is the only game in town that has us connected to all our friends, it doesn't need to be competitive. If we have an alternate network waiting, it does need to be competitive. I think this is why Google+ allows complete data portability. Google doesn't want to make any money on social, or at least it won't be disappointed if it doesn't. Instead, the goal is to stop Facebook from stealing market share from Google's search business. Hopefully soon, we can use programs that will allow us to post one status update to multiple networks. There are probably some already out there. But then, Facebook's network advantage would be minimized, and social providers would have to compete on content. Ideal scenario.
Well you already have an example of social media crossover to a small degree at the moment - you can set up your facebook and twitter accounts so that what you tweet is posted on your FB as a status update. It would be cool if you could update one profile on Google+ with pictures and they'd be posted on your Facebook, but it's just a dreaaaam~ Would retweet and favorite
