It won't be that bad. Just looking at that list of abilities it looks pretty overwhelming, but so did Val/Ther when I first looked at it.

    Twilight Ascendant Council

It's similar to Omnotron in that it is an execution fight. Killing it or not killing it will depend on acute raid awareness from all 10 of us. Watching your buffs/debuffs on phase one and being able to find a tornado or gravity pool on phase 2. If people can learn the twin dragons and can learn omnotron they can learn this.

Phase 3 doesn't worry me at all, we have more an ample dps for that.

Well that looks like fun. Easier than Omnotron, at least.

I SHALL OFFER MY PRO RAIDING EXPERTISE ADVICE GOOD TELLING FOR YOU

This is shit easy especially on 10 man. You just have to get all the 4 different dudes (2 at a time) down to 25% at the same time and you'll be golden, otherwise execute will take too long and the room will flood with blue shit on the ground. It's the same amount of space as in 25 man too so dodging fire and getting boss out of the blue shit in the execute phase should be retardproof, as well as lightning conductors not being close to other people in p2. Air debuff for quake, grounded for lightning in p2, intuitive as fuck, if you mess that up there is little hope for you.

    Haha, yeah.

We were making pretty steady progress learning it until one of our tanks mysteriously DC'd and it went downhill from there.

The think the only thing we were really having issue with was getting the hydrolance interrupted (had a pally tank on the water guy, need to put a warrior there for the mobility to get out of glaciate then charge back and and be able to interrupt) and we underestimated the sheer amount of aoe dmg in phase 1 so there was a learning curve for the healers.

The AoE damage in p1 I am guessing is from Ignacious' shield, you absolutely need to make every one swap over to him asap when he starts to pulse and you shouldn't get more than 2-3 pulses which is more manageable for healers. Everything else in terms of AoE in p1 is easily avoided.

But I can see where interrupts is more of an issue on 10man for sure. Unless you have a shaman who can just wind shear his little heart out. Other than that, our Feludius tank rarely ever moves at all unless Ignacious jumps on him.

Yeah the only moving the Feludius tank has to do is when he casts Glaciate you have to get a few yards away or its a 1-shot. Our pally tank was having issue because he would move out of glaciate, then immediately there was a hydrolance to interrupt and he didn't make it back in in time. I eventually went prot and was tanking it and had no issue getting every hydrolance (except lack of hit rating please hurry 4.1) because I could run out of glaciate then charge back in for a hydrolance interrupt.

Also I realized just a bit ago reading up on it more that apparently the AoE from Ignacious applies a stacking debuff to make you take more fire damage? We kept losing our Ignacious tank to Flame Torrent right after Flame Aegis because we weren't coordinating cooldowns, and we also weren't switching DPS to Ignacious soon enough, looking back.

Yeah during Flame Aegis all DPS needs to switch to Ignacious or shits gonna get ugly.

For anyone that cares here are my notes from this fight:

Try to burn them all so they get to 25% at the same time.

Heart of Ice and Burning blood debuffs should run to the opposing dps. Heart of Ice debuff goes to melee, Burning Blood goes to ranged.

RISING FLAMES needs to be interupted to do this we will need to burn his sheild.

    Interupt hydrolance.

Clear the waterlog debuff by running through the fire.

We will call out debuffs, however they alternate their abilities, so if quake is cast get leveitate, if thunderstorm happens get grounded.

YELLOW ARROW! Chainlightning is more important than the debuff. If you get it get out of the raid, and get your debuff after chainlightning goes off. It will only go off once.

Harden skin needs to be interupted, double damage and half damage to him.

bloodlust in phase three. heal gravity well people. puddles expand when the monstrosity stands in them. try to keep him in the middle of the room though.

Yeah we had all that covered I think, the thing that was fucking us was that I didn't realize Ignacious stacks a debuff on himself that increases his fire dmg done each time he pulses his AoE, so while we were surviving the AoE with the way we were shield switching, Krun was NOT surviving the following Flame Torrent, so we need to do one of two things to make it into phase 2 reliably and actually learn the next portion of the fight:

    1) Switch to the fire guy earlier so there is no "ramp-up" time for DPS - they're already going full on by the time the shield comes up w/dots and things.

    2) Use tank CD's for the next Flame Torrent after the shield. It's only a 2 minute phase and he casts his shield/aoe every minute so 2 CDs will be used, and should be back up by the time phase 3 comes around if they're needed.

I was talking to some friends at work and they said in phase 3 their tanks run the monstrosity in a circle around the outer edges of the room, and "it's cake".

    I like cake.

Yeah I'm really not understanding why we had <10% wipes on this.

It was either a lack of healing or a lack of DPS. The phase really felt like it lasted long enough we should have killed him and we have never suffered from a lack of DPS on any other burn-phase boss and I doubt this one is tuned any differently. We had some perfect 25/25 or 24/26 transitions and still didn't get it.

Perhaps it was a kiting path issue. One of our DPS will have to weigh in on that since we have 100% ranged DPS. Were you guys getting out of range in p3 so you couldn't DPS? By the end of the fight on a couple of those attempts we had some people under 10k DPS which normally I'd stay GTFO of my raid but Arion and target switching to even out HP in phase 2 can make for some awfully shitty DPS so I didn't worry about it.

If there were range issues in P3 though I need to know about it we will make a plan. I'd read about the kiting around in a circle in the center before so we'll have to try it. And I'm going to look at it again and make sure there is no reason to spread out in p3 for healers/dps... if there isn't then I'm going to place a marker for everyone to stack on that should be in range of the kite path we will set up so we get max DPS and can AoE heal the DPS.

We had an attempt that we wiped at like 5.5-6% where doop had frozen up and DC'd and I think Steve was dead from pulling aggro at the very start of the phase... if they'd both been there that quite likely could have been a kill but even so we were still struggling with p3 far more than we should have.

Just make sure the boss doesn't stand in a blue puddle and get out of ember like sparks on the ground (they hurt).

From a tanking perspective I didn't realize until it was too late that he doesnt move when he puts the player in that ball thing. What I'm saying is I was trying to move him off the pools and as a result i was not doing half as much dmg as I should (not that my dmg is alot, but every bit counts in this phase). Next time I will just stay in melee range until he's done with that spell and then kite him. I felf the pools were very easy to avoid, it's doubtfull ppl were getting hit by them.

We'll get him this week I'm sure of it.
